Data platforms that need to be reliable, auditable, and cost-effective — that's what I build. I do the hands-on work: architecture, pipelines, governance, and the migration plan that doesn't blow up on go-live day.
Let's talk →A bit about me
I've delivered data platforms at Rothschild & Co, First Rate (Forex), McLaren Group, Alliela AI, and OpenData.London — environments where data has to be right, traceable, and compliant, not just fast.
I architect and build, not just advise. The stuff I focus on is the unglamorous work that actually matters: lineage, governance, migrations that don't blow up, and reporting that stands up to audit.
What I do
End-to-end Fabric delivery: workspace governance, ingestion patterns, lakehouse modelling, and capacity management. I set it up so the platform stays maintainable and cost-effective from day one — not a cleanup job six months in.
Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS, Event Hubs — whatever the right pieces are for your workload. I design and build the platform layer so your engineers inherit something coherent, not a tangle of one-off pipelines.
From raw data to a single source of truth: pipelines that feed well-designed, reliable dashboards. Power BI with proper RLS, sensible latency, and KPIs that tie to the business — not vanity metrics.
Lineage, access control, and governance (GDPR, MiFID II, SOC2) built into the pipeline so reporting is traceable from ingestion to dashboard. Boring but essential.
Moving off on-prem SQL or spreadsheets is risky. I've run migrations to AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake with zero downtime and no data loss — it's doable if you plan it right.

Availability
I take contracts Outside IR35, typically 3–12 months. Based in London, happy to work hybrid or fully remote across the UK. I'm usually on one engagement at a time so I can give it proper focus.
